The Women’s International Bowling Congress awarded Doris for her 35 years of attending national tournaments, and the Michigan Women’s Bowling Association Tournament presented her with a 40-year award for her years of participation. Doris was inducted as a life member and also inducted into the Morenci Bowling Hall of Fame in 1988. She had been the local secretary and president of the Morenci Women's Bowling Association. Her passion was her extracurricular activity - bowling. In those early years, Doris could be found helping with hauling the grain to the elevator, or any number of jobs needed on the farmįor many years, Doris was the owner/operator of Dor-E-LL’s beauty salon in Morenci.
